If you’re familiar with Lord of the Rings Online’s dev team at all, you’ll know that Lead Designer Allan “Orion” Maki is a massive fan of the (niche) PvP scene and continues to cheerlead the monster play mode. In fact, Maki sat down for a two-hour interview with LOTRO YouTuber Bludborn to talk about PvP, confirming that a new creep class called the Angmar Sorceress is in the works for this or next year.

Play LOTRO for freeMaki said that the Angmar Sorceress has been under development for a few years now and will feature prepped spells where players can throw out frost, shadow, and fire effects onto the battlefield. “The Sorceress resides somewhere between Rune-keeper and Lore-master,” he notes. “Her basic skill package focuses on dealing acid damage and reducing enemy armour. This damage is lower while using her basic skill set. Her devotions augment her abilities and give her moment-to-moment specialization.”

In other Ettenmoors PvP news, Maki shared how siege equipment, nemesis monsters, and relics are being introduced to shake things up somewhat.
