Over the past half a year or so, we’ve been covering Fellowship, a character-based co-op title that seeks to distill the MMORPG dungeon running experience as the primary game loop as players earn loot enough to ramp up difficulty with modifiers. We’ve had some hands-on time alongside developer Chief Rebel a couple of times and even streamed a bit of open beta gameplay on OPTV last February.

It now looks as if the studio is readying itself for its next bit of testing, as the devs have briefly confirmed in Discord another test is coming at the end of May. No dates were provided for when this test will happen, but community director Hamish Bode did state that he will likely have “a bunch of new stuff to show [players] very soon.”

In the meanwhile, that February open beta brought in plenty of data as well as feedback, some of which was addressed in an April wrap-up discussion video. The devs talked about matters such as mitigating random one-shot crits at higher difficulties, systems to halt unavoidable damage from dungeon curses overlapping with boss mechanics, progression system updates, RNG improvements for basic gear, and the addition of weapon and legendary armor drops.

The game’s Twitter account has also been awash with various previews of new features added to the game such as new talents, emotes, and HUD customization options that let players adjust element sizes and stacking, hide DPS meters (thank goodness), see cooldown timers, and share HUD layouts with other players.
