Tomorrow, May 27th, may be when the Legion expansiopatch for EVE Online goes live, but players can get a head start on learning what this update will bring to the spaceship sandbox thanks to some patch notes published ahead of time. Say thank you to CCP Games, perhaps. Or don’t. It can’t hear you anyway. It’s not a sentient being.Play EVE Online for free

Naturally these notes provide greater detail to the mechanics being added with Legion, such as the new freelance jobs that player-run corps can provide to other players, the new corporation palette feature that lets brand managers manage their brand colors, and a number of upgrades to exploration, resource generation, and system effects in sovereign space, along with the ability to pay ISK in order for newly captured systems to control local skyhook bases.

The patch will also add two new internet spaceships, an updated system map, a shinier UI window to show off the benefits of subscribing, and a long list of balance changes. This unsurprisingly gets into the weeds, meaning there’s plenty for capsuleers to absorb ahead of Legion’s arrival.
