The final piece of the Janthir Wilds puzzle is about to click into place, as Guild Wars 2 plans to release the last content update of its current expansion next week on June 3rd.

Called Absolution, the content drop adds more story, opens up the final map (the “crumbling city of Bava Nisos”), expands several game modes, challenges players to a huge counter-invasion event, tosses in the new Kinfall fractal, and doubles the decoration limit of homesteads to 2,000 objects. The update is included with any purchase of Janthir Wilds, so current owners will receive it for free.

Past that content drop, Guild Wars 2 has a balance patch cooking for June 24th. ArenaNet gave a preview of that patch, saying, “This update will bring many functional changes as well as reworks for some underused skills and traits.”
