In February, we learned that MapleStory is getting its very own theme park attraction in Seoul, South Korea. And I have to admit I am a little bit jealous – not because of MapleStory, really, but because of the whole idea. MapleStory is a much bigger franchise overseas than here, obviously, but even our big video game IPs don’t get the amusement park treatment. I mean, WoW kinda had a park… in China, though, not here!

It makes me sad that in the west, we don’t value our games quite the same way – World of Warcraft and so forth aren’t baked into mainstream culture. Let’s imagine we did, though. Which MMO deserves a theme park – or at least a ride?
