The developers of Valheim have elected to stop calling their dev blogs “dev blogs”; they’re a Word from the Devs instead, owing to the fact that they haven’t really showcased a lot of progress, by Iron Gate’s own admission (and also by our own observation). So that basically means its latest post has no actual progress to report on its still-developing Deep North biome update, but it does have teases. Yay.
Specifically, the teases come in the form of the fifth part of its Voyage of Hervor Bloodtooth video series along with a screenshot of a new enemy type unique to the biome. The studio is also promising an update beforehand that will fix combat mechanics and introduce a new armor set.
As for the change of name and style for these posts, Iron Gate is promising that development of Deep North is still in progress and also explains that it mainly wants players to discover what the biome will offer on their own. That discovery does not include any release timing for either of these patches, so don’t go looking; instead look at the video. Teases!
