Dune Awakening is continuing its slow-drip of teasing for is launch next month, this time with a brief new video on the Mentat. If you haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention to Dune thus far, you might be a little foggy on the concept that in spite of all the flowery lore language here, the Mentat is basically a class, though Funcom calls them schools.

“A secretive and insular organization, the Order of Mentats conditions their adherents to store and analyze vast amounts of data at superhuman speeds,” the studio intones. “In Dune: Awakening, you can learn to condition your mind in this fashion to analyze the battlefield and become a master tactician and assassin.”

So what does that actually mean? They’re pretty much techy assassins. If you choose Mentat, you’ll be fighting with poison capsules filled with poisonous spores, motion-sensing dart projectors, and a half-height Holtzman shield that slows baddies who rush you. Kind of awesome, really. The whole video showing off the class is down below.
