If you’ve found yourself frustrated at the lack of relic weapons to advance, dinosaurs to fight, and phantom jobs to use in Final Fantasy XIV up to this point, we have good news. The Occult Crescent is unlocked with today’s launch of patch 7.25, giving players a new field full of dynamic events to participate in, knowledge levels to gain, and phantom weapons to begin forging. And yes, there will be dinosaurs. (There are also dinosaurs in Shaaloani, of course, but sometimes it’s just fighting new kinds of dinosaurs that does it for people.)

The patch also makes some balance tweaks to the existing abilities of jobs in both PvE and PvP encounters, starts the new Crystalline Conflict season, and fills out another installment of Hildibrand adventures for players still searching for the inspector. And let’s not forget that you can team up with the Mamool Ja for new allied society quests, too.
