At long last, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been updated! Birds are singing! Spontaneous choirs are forming in the street! The world has been blessed with an update! Finally, our long nightmare of players on the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2 not having the ideal multiplayer session has been ended! And also… nothing else, actually; that’s the only thing in the patch. It’s just to improve those multiplayer sessions and has no actual new content. It’s clearly just prepwork for the launch of the Switch 2 next week.
Yes, it’s a bit of a letdown, but it does at least show that Nintendo is keeping the game in its mind, and it means that you will be able to still enjoy island sessions with friends after three years. So now you can look back at your old game and fire it up again if you want to go back to Cleansing Fire Island or whatever you named your dwelling. We won’t judge. Much.
