As The Princess Bride taught us, there’s dead… and there’s mostly dead. This is especially true on WoW Classic’s hardcore realms, where permadeath isn’t proving to be as “perma” as it once was. That’s because Blizzard continues to take the steps of resurrecting characters who died during recent DDoS attacks, including one a few days ago.
“We’ve completed a second pass on Hardcore characters lost during the April 24th DDoS, and additionally we resurrected Hardcore characters that died during the DDoS [back on] May 11th,” Blizzard’s team members reported.
Meanwhile over in retail, World of Warcraft is running a week of Classic Timewalking dungeons, with a bonus cache for players who complete five dungeons by the next weekly reset. Players will be able to buy some (but apparently not all) of the mounts, pets, and transmog that were available late last year.
Oh, and if you weren’t feeling the impact of the passage of time, here’s one for you: Leeroy Jenkins is now 20 years old. You’re welcome.
